Visual Storytelling

This project involved volunteering time to document a charity golf event supporting Help America Hear, an organization dedicated to providing hearing aids and hearing healthcare to individuals in need.

Challenge

The goal was to visually capture the atmosphere, energy, and human impact of a live fundraising event while supporting the organization’s mission. The content needed to feel authentic, respectful, and emotionally engaging, while also highlighting the purpose behind the event.

Approach

I provided full photo and video coverage of the golf event, focusing on candid moments, participant interactions, and key event highlights. The visual direction emphasized natural storytelling rather than staged or overly produced imagery, allowing the genuine emotion of the event to come through.

Attention was given to capturing a balance between:

• The environment of the golf course
• Volunteers and organizers working behind the scenes
• Participants engaging with the event
• Key moments that reflected the mission of the organization

Post-production focused on selecting impactful moments that best represented the spirit of the day and the cause behind it.

Outcome

The final deliverables included a curated video and photography set that documented the event and supported Help America Hear’s outreach and awareness efforts. The content was used to help communicate the impact of the organization’s work and highlight community involvement in their mission.
